Dear Abu,

     Just sending a note to thank you again for your help in appraising my hand-knotted silk Kayseri Turkish rug. Sewing the loops on the backside, and adding the rod and tassels, makes for a perfect wall hanging.  You can see this in the Photo Jim texted to you. I will enjoy this work of art for many years to come.

     During our visit, we reflected on our many travels, especially in Europe and the Middle East. As a young man just out of high school, I spent 2 years on a navy destroyer. Most of those two years, we were in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Later on, as part of my career with AT&T, I lived in Tehran for two years 1977-1979.  This is when the Iranian Revolution was brewing.  For the most part, the Iranian people were friendly and hospitable to us expats. You and I were fortunate to experience the different cultures in various parts of the world.

     I am impressed by the quantity, quality, and variety of carpets in your showrooms.  Your knowledge and experience, combined with your focus on customer service, will ensure your success in the future.
